What regulations apply to installing a gate?

Gates are considered part of your fence, so the same rules apply. Check your local zoning regulations (PLU) for guidelines on height, color, and other requirements. In towns with more than 50,000 residents, the maximum height is typically 126 inches. For smaller towns, the minimum height is usually 102 inches.
